RESPECT – Keeping our outdoor environment tidy

May 18th, 2017 by

Today the children in Nursery spent time talking about ‘respect’. and the importance of looking after our environment, we want our school to look tidy and clean this means making sure there is no rubbish lying around on the floor.

“We have to tidy our playground so it looks nice don’t we” Poppi

“We have to put the rubbish in the bin” Kade

“We have to make sure we put everything away nice and neat .” Ethan

Today the. Children worked hard outside to make sure our playground was tidy and free from litter, they used the litter pickers to collect rubbish from around the outside area and put it in the bin.

A Lost Monkey

May 15th, 2017 by and tagged ,

IMG_4630.JPG

Today in nursery the children were greeted by a visitor, a monkey was sat on the chair waiting patiently when the children came in to sit on the carpet

“I wonder who it is?”

“It’s a monkey”

“I think he’s sad”

“I think he’s lost his Mommy”

“That’s him on the book”

The monkey had a book in his hands, the book was called Monkey Puzzle.

Mrs McCutcheon and Miss Baker had a good idea, maybe we could read the book together and we could help our new friend to find his Mommy.

The children were very excited to read the story Monkey Puzzle, we called him Marvin the Monkey (he seemed to like that name)
All the children were very kind and helped to look after Marvin.

RESPECT- respecting our classroom

May 12th, 2017 by

“We have to look after our classroom!” Ethan

“We have to keep it clean and tidy.” Molly

“We have to look after our toys so they don’t break.” Poppi

Each day we select two tidy up monitors that make sure we are all working hard to tidy up our classroom! They walk around the classroom ensuring each area is tidy and that we are all working as a team.

We all respect our classroom!
